Rupica
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
In this captivating brand exploration project, I ventured into the creation of "Rupica," a premium wool brand crafted from my passion for knitting and appreciation for top-notch yarn quality. This endeavor wasn't just about designing a brand; it was about weaving a story that knitters and craft enthusiasts everywhere could resonate with. I began by creating a moodboard and initial sketches and eventually created the final mock ups. In crafting the merchandising and advertising elements for "Rupica," I placed the user experience at the forefront. Every aspect of the brand, from the website layout to the product photography, was meticulously designed with the end user in mind. The result is a cohesive brand experience that not only highlights the exceptional quality of the wool but also tells a story through every stitch and hue.
CheckMates
Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Next.js, OCR, Vercel
In a software engineering project, my group developed “CheckMates,” a web-based application using Next.js, designed to effortlessly split and manage group expenses. Our app features advanced receipt scanning that accurately divides purchases, taxes, and tips among participants, customizable to each group's specific needs. Through intuitive system context and container diagrams, we detail “CheckMates” seamless integration of user-friendly front-end and efficient back-end processes, making it an indispensable tool for anyone looking to simplify shared financial transactions.

Hooked
Adobe Illustrator
As a frequent crochet and knitter I am constantly on the lookout for new patterns. In the peak of COVID, the fiber art community welcomed many new members. The problem with current free pattern websites is that most of the patterns are out of date and not up to current trends. My app Hooked, functions as a social media platform for finding new, trendy patterns and communicating with fellow yarn enthusiasts. These static page designs were created using Adobe Illustrator. Each element besides the black cat and the profile photo were hand drawn by me in Illustrator. To begin creating this design I created an empathy chart to assess exactly what functions users would need to see in the app. Along with this I have provided my system context diagram which I layed out to ensure that the flow of the app was geared towards user needs.
Team Velvet
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign
Team Velvet is a non-profit organization that specializes in providing equine therapy to children suffering with PTSD and trauma. The organization reached out to me to redesign their website. Initially, I created a creative brief for the project in order to understand who my users are and who my website needs to reach. Following that process I created a mood board and a flowchart to understand what information needed to be accessed on each page of the site. Lastly, I created wireframes for each page to figure out the layout. Following these steps and continuously checking in with the client, a redesign was created.
Koon’s Ruins
AfterEffects, Photoshop
This past year I have received the privilege of working with Kathy Aoki, a professor on campus and extremely talented feminist artist. For this piece I assisted in preparing risograph printed photos in PhotoShop and placing them into AfterEffects to produce this vintage feeling animation.
